Library launch

For the last 6 months we have been working with Dr Mark Coombe on the FourteenFish Library and we launched this to our users last week.

We feel Library completes the circle in our learning suite line up. Our vision is that you can:

  • perform a learning needs assessment using the knowledge test
  • use the results to direct which module you then watch
  • easily capture the learning into your Learning Diary
  • build on this by holding a discussion in Communities.

Our focus is on providing easy to use tools that complement rather than complicate the process. To this end we are adding simple learning point ideas to modules as a spring board to learning and reflection.

Mark is a great fit to the team. Like us he is passionate about medical education. We love his practical approach and delivery style making him easy to listen and relate to. He has been heavily involved in the GP exams and together we have developed a package for passing the AKT which will be launched later this month.

Not enough time?

Time running out

With the increasing pressures on General Practice we wanted to provide a solution for learning that could fit in with these demands. Videos that were concise yet comprehensive, practical and informative and that would be dipped in and out of at times and locations to suit the learner.

The Library modules can be started and returned to later with all your progress recorded. You can do knowledge tests in one sitting or several. You can access the system on a range of devices all at a time to suit you.

Please do let us know what you think. We intend to add more topics based on feedback and requests to make the FourteenFish Library the best it can be.
